I absolutely cannot thank Brian enough for the incredible services he provided me when I needed to rent out my last apartment. Not only was I blown away by his passion for the real estate industry, professionalism, and positive mindset; but I was also so impressed with how incredibly knowledgeable he is in every aspect of the housing market. I spoke to a few realtors and none of them impressed me as much with their expertise as Brian did. Thanks to Brian's immense knowledge and experience, we were able to rent my apartment out less than 3 weeks after our initial consultation. I worked with both Ali and Brian on getting my apartment So this review is for both of them and I will post for Ali as well. I just wanted to express my gratitude for how smooth, efficient, and helpful you both were. By the time my boyfriend came across Ali's listing, I had one or two days left to get the keys to an apartment. I only had about a week to find one to begin with, and the situation was causing so much chaos and stress that I had pretty much resigned myself to a scenario where I would have nowhere to go and be forced to hire a couple of guys to take everything I owned to the curb and spend a good month crashing on a friend's couch (something I wasn't even sure I could do during Covid). However, this was by far the best rental experience I've ever had - I've lived in New York City for 17 years and moved every single year, give or take a month or two (I know that's ridiculous), so that's not an empty compliment. It's one thing for a broker to be professional and make things go smoothly, and I've had other years where the process was simple, but in those situations, I would have two months of lead time and also get lucky (because even with plenty of notice, I had some horrible experiences). Far from having 2 months of lead time, you guys had more like 2 days, and you still managed to answer my endless numbered lists of questions within minutes, communicate with management on my behalf to get various things resolved quickly, have instant solutions for all the 101 problems that come up during an application and lease signing (some of them, like my credit unexpectedly dropping 60 points in a day, seemed like they were going to be the time to throw in the towel), is no easy feat. Every other aspect of this move was and is a nightmare, from dealing with and arranging for movers to negotiating move-out with my building, to just the simple stress and worry of juggling all this and working full-time and dealing with three deaths in the family in the past month, so my interactions with you guys were starkly different, as I got nothing but positivity and solutions from you both. You are both excellent at what you do. I say that as someone who was a rental broker in Manhattan around ten years ago for a brief period, and I gave that job up after a few months from sheer exhaustion and frustration with the constant challenges the job presented, so I certainly appreciate how thankless this work can be. It may be just an apartment, but as I told Ali, this has been a horrific year between all the tragedies and struggles, not to mention the endless quarantine making everything much more difficult, and I think that if I hadn't met you guys, I would have wound up having to throw everything away and crashing with a friend, and given all the setback and sadness and challenges I've had this year, I think it might have been the last straw, or at the very least, thrown me into a place emotionally that it would have taken me a lot of time and effort to recover from. Sometimes, when we face a lot of difficulty and pain, it's the small things that make or break us, and you guys restored my faith a little bit, which is why I'm taking the time to write a novel. After living in the same loft for more than a decade we unexpectedly found ourselves searching for a new home a year into the pandemic when our landlord decided to sell the building. We found Brian via a listing he posted. When we arrived at the building he showed us the original listing but was also able to get us into a few more apartments that hadn't hit the market yet. They were still in the renovation stage but we could see they were gems. We quickly nabbed one of the pre-renovated units because of its amazing light, high ceilings, and large floor plan. Brian made the lease process with the management company a smooth transaction. We've been pretty happy with our space since and just renewed our lease for another year.
